Dear fellow Accordionists,
Welcome to Frosinisociety.org. This is the very first newsletter with information concerning the web-site. This newsletter is sent to all our members.
My hopes are that you will find interesting subjects like;
- The sheet note archives being updated continuously
- the music archives will expand - and today contains substantial accordion history
- the photo archives with its 1000 pictures is also growing
- you may also make use of the accordion school for both beginners and more advanced players. The book
"Genvägen" will help you improve your finger dexterity and give you the basics on how to use the bellows.
As a new member, you have the possibility to study the contents of these pages for hours. The present site is only the initial foundation of a future accordion site on the Internet. Most importantly, Accordionists worldwide will soon have a common meeting place - "Speakers Corner", where we can exchange ideas and thoughts.
Soon you will be able to order your own CD from the music archives. You just choose 10 favourite melodies from the archive and we will send you the CD with the songs you have chosen. More information on this when we have all the technical aspects in place.
For the last 18 years, The Frosinisociety has arranged a festival and concert for the elite accordionists in northern Europe. These concerts are video taped and will, in the future, be available to you on this site.
As you can see, there will be plenty of new material on the site!
If you have questions, ideas or just want to express your opinion, I will be much obliged if you send them to firstname.lastname@example.org
We need an English speaking person to develop the English pages. Are you the one? Maybe you know someone who could do the job?
I would like express my gratitude to all the members for bringing the Accordion into the future, and for giving tomorrows music lovers a chance to learn to play the Accordion through the internet.
Finally. There are two ways of developing the Accordion,
1: Seek new music in far out places
2: Bring the roots into the future
